I am in my final year of my MSc supervised by Dr. Kevin Devito and Dr. Dan Alessi. My thesis focuses on perched peatland hydrology in the Boreal Plains of western Canada. An application for this research is wetland reconstruction in the Athabasca oil sands. Findings have shown perched wetlands to be autogenic, capable of self-generation of water, allowing them to be constructed in any landscape position.
My past research interests include an honours thesis in coastal geomorphology at the University of Victoria where I completed my B.Sc in Geoscience.
